Redneck Pickles

On Tuesday night we had fun making pickles outside! We grew cucumbers in our garden and have been meaning to make pickles for awhile now. We used our big campstove and the truck tailgate and it was fun to do. The campstove heated up the canner really fast and there was less mess cause it was all outside! My mom and dad want to build an outdoor kitchen for doing stuff like this. We alternated the yellow and green cucumbers to make pretty jars. Making pickles outside? Yes, we are down home country people!
