Student Teaching Update!

Boy, so much stuff going on these days, and I haven't even shared what I wanted to share from this summer! I am student teaching now, and it's really great and as you can guess, keeping me real busy. It's great being in a classroom and seeing how the daily grind is. I'm learning lots, including new art skills, like stained glass and weaving. I can't believe how fast time goes- I am almost done with my 7 weeks here at this high school and will be soon off to another local junior high. I will be sad to leave the students!

The students are bummed that I am leaving (I'm terrible because I secretly love that!) and I was told by them that I am the nicest student teacher that they've had and also the most helpful. I'll stick that feather in my cap.

I've grown a lot in the last few weeks, I feel really confidant in my abilities and I really can't wait to get my own room and have more control over what goes on.

I don't have time to post a lot of photos, but this will tide you over.

Art book I made for a team teaching project with 7th graders:

Here's the cover:

I had to make a demo, and so I went about making a book that I actually liked- what a thought!

Lots of fun stuff coming!
